Connection

So many of us seek connection and a place to share, dream, weave ideas, listen, speak…  Welcome to our connection page – this is an ever-changing and growing page of connections for you to discover and explore.

What is connection? Connection is the key to our survival, connection is what keeps us in the cycle of life. For women, connection with sisters, Land and self is so important. Together we are stronger.

Scroll down the list here of projects and organisations or group to find inspiration and connection, sisterhood or simply to see what and who’s out there.

Just for a little order, there are themes – Land, Art, Healing, Spirit – under these titles you’ll find projects or people who have or are creating sister-led wonders.

Stroud Community Medicine Garden

Like many other community medicine gardens, we are trying to create a community apothecary where folk can come and chat, pay little or nothing for a remedy if in need and raise money for herbal charities. We have a few sites around – Ebley is our lovely site hosted by Down To Earth and each week we meet for weeding, harvesting, sowing, blending, more weeding and sharing tea! It’s al lovely urban garden in a housing estate by the railway line.

On the same site, the wonderful Carla runs the Down To Earth veg growing scheme with volunteers coming along to grow, tend and eat the veggies! There are also fruit bushes and shrubs and trees that are sold for donation at market with the monies going right back into the projects.

There are also community medicine gardens in Hackney, Totnes and many more!

Landwise

This is a Gloucestershire collective led by Jeannie Ireland who is a tender of the Land and wisdom keeper. Jeannie brought together many people to try and match those with land to those seeking land to create ever deepening community and land care.
